Rockfalls along coastal bluffs between Ocean Avenue, San Francisco, and Mussel Rock caused by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
This photograph was taken by the US Geological Survey in 1906, and it was later published as figure 23 in the 1976 paper "Historic Ground Failures in Northern California Triggered by Earthquakes, Professional Paper 993" by T. Leslie Youd and Seena N. Hoose.
Image was digitized in 2005 and high resolution images were added to the online publication in 2007.
