During the Armory era, the former hydroelectric plant was known as the Rolling Mill. After that, it was the Harpers Ferry Paper Company. The structure, which sits on a foundation that originally dates to the 1834 tilt-hammer shop, symbolizes over 200 years of water-powered industry in Harpers Ferry.
