PASADENA, Calif. (Jan. 1, 2004) - Thirteen cadets and nine members of the Coast Guard band from New London, Conn. performed on Smart and Final's float �Let Freedom Sing� during the Rose Parade here, today. The band and choir's performance included the songs �America the Beautiful�, �My Country �Tis of Thee� and �This is My Country.� The float honored President Abraham Lincoln and the parade was broadcasted to an estimated 300 million viewers worldwide.(Choir Cadets-Alexandra Cherry, Elaine Cherry, Matthew Jewczyn, Gregory Lynch, James Miller, David Pizzurro, Bonnie Shaner, Mary Heron, Matther Kempe, Benjamin Stevenson, Mary Arvidson, Andrew Serb, and Christopher Lester.Musicians SCPO Carroll Potts, PO Thomas Brown, PO Kelly Watkins, CPO Heather Dougherty, CPO Vince Yanovitch, SCPO Victor Johnson, PO James Jackson, PO Stephen Lamb, and PO Steven Peterson.
