S44-76-090 - STS-044 - Earth observations of cloud patterns over the Pacific taken during STS-45
Summary
The original finding aid described this as:
Description: Five hundred miles southwest of Los Angeles, California, a beautiful band of clouds mark the southern extremity of warm continental air. This warmer air is the boundry of the Santa Ana Winds that frequently cause dangerous blowing dust and fan raging range fires in southern California. This low stratocumulus cloud mass, here as much as a thousand miles from shore, usually pushes up against the California coast.
