Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) participated in a command-wide pier walk in support of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The "Nimitz Walk to Shatter the Silence of Violence" took place on the pier at Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, Calif., and reflects Nimitz’ stance against any form of sexual violence. Nimitz recently arrived to Naval Air Station North Island to embark carrier Air Wing 11 in preparation for flight deck certification.
