Sailors aboard the guided-missile frigate USS Simpson's (FFG 56) rigid hull inflatable boat drive alongside a fishing vessel in Senegal's Exclusive Economic Zone after dropping off a joint-boarding team of U.S. Coast Guard and Senegalese sailors to inspect a ship. Simpson recently supported African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership (AMLEP) operations, a branch of the Africa Partnership Station (APS), in an effort to build maritime safety and security on and off shore.
