PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 04, 2017) Sailors assigned to the "Battlecats" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 73 prepare to attach a torpedo to a MH-60R Sea hawk helicopter on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). The ship is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with its carrier strike group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests a carrier strike group's mission-readiness and ability to perform as an integrated unit through simulated real-world scenarios.
