SAN ANTONIO (May 4, 2017) – San Antonio native and future Sailor, Minnie Rodriguez, is the college readiness coordinator for Southside High School. For 14 years, she has mentored students, including her son, Navy Reservist Hospital Corpsman Seaman Robert Rodriguez Jr., about college and military career options. One year after her son’s enlistment, Rodriguez decided to join the Navy Reserve. She will leave for recruit training in Great Lakes, Mich. on May 22 with follow-on training as an equipment operator.
