SAN DIEGO - Sailors assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) take the Navy-Wide Advancement Exam (NWAE) in the hospital’s galley Sept. 5. The NWAE tests Sailors’ specific rate knowledge. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver quality healthcare services and share the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in the San Diego region to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
