Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 NMCB 5, NMCB 40 and the 31st Seabee Readiness Group stand in formation during the Seabee Days opening ceremony held here at the Port Hueneme ceremonial grinder, July 23. This was the 24th Seabee Days held in Port Hueneme since 1986 and is a two day celebration honoring the men and women of the Navy’s elite construction force. Seabees are an expeditionary element of U.S. Naval forces Providing construction, engineering and security services in support of national strategy, naval power projection, humanitarian assistance and contingency operations.
