Michael Sparks, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) inside the ship's in-port cabin. Winter visited Momsen with members of the press to observe steps being taken to mitigate the impact of sonar on marine mammals. Momsen and other members of the Abraham Lincoln Strike Group are participating in a joint task force exercise off the coast of Southern California.
