Senior Chief Sonar Technician-Surface Ben Pierson, command senior chief for U.S. Naval War College, and Chief Hospital Corpsman Tom Smalls, independent duty corpsman for NWC, have their blood drawn from phlebotomists with Rhode Island Blood Center during a blood drive at NWC in Newport, R.I. The blood drive served as an opportunity for students, staff and faculty of NWC to support their Rhode Island community and donate to Rhode Island Blood Center, which is the sole supplier of blood products to hospitals in Rhode Island.
