Senior Master Sgt. Alexander Brown, 161st Air Refueling Wing student flight instructor and former U.S. Air Force training instructor, corrects a trainee on proper facing movements at the Phoenix Air National Guard Base, Aug. 2. The main purpose of the student flight is to in-process new recruits into the wing and then out-process them to basic training and technical school; however, a secondary benefit is the mentorship the trainees receive from the student flight’s instructors.
