Service members with the Single Marine Program pick up trash outside of Camp Foster during a weekly gate cleanup June 20, in Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan. Every Saturday the Single Marine Program and Status of Forces Agreement personnel walk the perimeter of the base and the surrounding streets to pick up litter. According to Durell Archie, the Camp Foster SMP coordinator, the cleanup is an excellent way to show the Okinawa residents that the Marines are committed to keeping the environment clean and maintaining a long lasting partnership.
