Sgt. Maj. of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III talks with Afghan Command Sgt. Maj. Shah Wali of the 5th Combat Service Support Kandak and members of 172nd Support Battalion, 172nd Infantry Brigade Oct. 17 at Forward Operating Base Sharana. Chandler took a few moments from his visit of the FOB to speak to key leaders of the support battalion and their Afghan counterparts about continuing relations between U.S. and Afghan forces.
