Sgt. Maj. Roderick Hodo, Laghman Provincial Reconstruction sergeant major, inspects the condition of a local school during a mentoring neighborhood patrol, Sept. 5, in Mehtar Lam, Laghman province. Laghman Provincial Reconstruction Team members joined the Afghans on a patrol through a village that coalition forces haven't been through in years. The purpose of the patrol was to teach the ANP to conduct foot patrols through villages and talk to the locals, gathering information first hand.
