Sgt. Michael A. Lopez gives a gift to Iraqi Police Sgt. Satar before they talk about the security in the town of Al Medinah As Siyahiyah, Iraq on Jan. 31, 2008. Sgt. Lopez is the patrol leader with 1/11, Charlie Battery, which patrols along with the Iraqi Police through Al Medinah As Siyahiyah on a regular basis. 1st Marine Logistics Group is deployed with Multi National Force - West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market-based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
