Summary

Since July 14, 1993, non-commissioned officers and enlisted Airmen and Soldiers from the Nebraska and Texas National Guard have worked closely with their counterparts from the Czech Republic through the National Guard’s State Partnership during dozens of engagements and exercises in Europe and the Continental United States. Along the way deep friendships have been formed that have added immeasurably to the capacities of all three organizations.
On Oct. 26, during a visit to the Czech Ministry of Defense in Prague, Czech Republic, Nebraska’s Chief Master Sgt. Jeffrey Horne and Texas’ Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Castle presented a special display to Sgt. Maj. Petr Seifert, sergeant major of the Czech Armed Forces, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the State Partnership Program and the deep, lasting friendships created between the three organizations during that time period.
Members of the Nebraska and Texas National Guard were the Czech Military’s special guests during the Oct. 27-28 celebration in Prague, Czech Republic, marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia in October 2018. This also marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of the State Partnership Program relationship between the two Midwestern National Guard organizations and the Czech Republic, to this day the only SPP involving two state National Guard organizations and a single nation.
