Snoqualmie Falls, ca 1885 (MOHAI 7274)
Summary
Many photographers have tried to capture the beauty of Snoqualmie Falls. Sometime in the 1880s, a Seattle photographer by the name of Judkins set up his camera on the rocks below the falls and snapped this image. A number of people seem to have been visiting the falls that day. The tiny size of those standing on the rocks at the lip of the falls gives an idea of the great drop. At 268 feet, Snoqualmie Falls is over 100 feet taller than Niagara Falls.
