South Carolina National Guard Soldiers and Aviators from the 2-151st Security and Support Aviation Battalion use a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to tow a Bambi Bucket to a local pond to extract water during a fire suppression training exercise at McEntire Joint National Guard Base and Manchester State Forest April 10, 2015. The training exercise, in cooperation with the South Carolina Forestry Commission, is conducted to increase the readiness of and train aircrews while testing lines of communication between Guard and civilian personnel. The South Carolina National Guard and other civil authorities train together numerous times throughout the year to combine assets, resources and capabilities in preparation to respond to a variety of possible emergencies.
