Staff Sgt. Frederick S. Gladle, a native of Mooers, N.Y., and currently assigned to the Special Operations Training Group at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan attempts to tighten the barrier formation of Thai soldiers and airmen as they practice crowd control and barrier formations during a segment of non-lethal training in Chonburi, Thailand on June 1 for Non-Lethal Weapons Executive Seminar 2011. U.S. Marines from Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, are training Thai military and police forces various non-lethal techniques during NOLES 2011. The seminar is designed to promote awareness of non-lethal weapon tactics in order to maintain low-intensity or civil unrest scenarios. This is a bilateral seminar that has been previously conducted with Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Fiji, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tonga, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
