Arthur Henri Poole - Start today, make no delay
Summary
This is Mr Curtis's shop window in Barrack Street, Waterford, dressed for a competition. While wholly focussed on MacLean's Powders, there's a fairly obvious typo in "Take McLeans after meals"...MacLean's Powder was an alkaline powder to combat stomach ailments, hence the injunction to take it "after meals"...Thanks to noonies12 ( 7787431@N07/ ) , we now know this shop was known locally as "Daddy Curtis's".....Date: Circa 1930..NLI Ref.: P_WP_4202 ( P_WP_4202 )
