Dated 1897 on reverse of original. David Stirrat is said to have purchased Mount Alma in 1863 with his brothers, Hugh and Nicol. The original run contained 100 sq. miles and was part of Calliope run.
In 1899 the partnership dissolved between David and Nicol Stirrat. David Stirrat stayed at Mount Alma until his death in July 1923. (Description supplied with photograph.).
