Statue of Liberty as illuminated at night, New York City
Summary
Designed by August Bartholdi, the Statue of Liberty was presented to the United States by the French in 1884. It is located 1 3 4 miles southwest from the Battery on Bedloe's Island and is 150 ft. high, standing upon a 155 ft. pedestal. By night it is spectacularly illuminated by numerous floodlights.
