Description: Payload Commander David Low in the SPACEHAB setting up the Space Acceleration Measaurement System (SAMS) experiment. The purpose of this experiment is to measure and record the many low level accelerations of the vehicle caused by various experiment operations. The accelerations are recorded and stored on optical disks for downlink to a ground control center where the data will be analyzed by experimenters to determine the effect on their erxperiment.
