Students enrolled in a Chemical, Biological, Radiological Nuclear, and high-yield Explosives (CBRNE) Defense Course, use their equipment, after their helicopter lands on top of a hill top, to conduct ground radiological surveys while wearing their Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) gear April 30. The CBRNE Defense Course at JBLM incorporated an aerial survey mission which simulated the detonation of a nuclear bomb requiring students to board a Boeing CH-47D Chinook during the assessment of radioactive levels in the air.
