Tyler Westover, left, and Ensign Alexander Huang, both assigned to USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), during the 79th Black Ship Festival. The festival promotes peaceful relations between the Japanese and American people and commemorates the 164th anniversary of the arrival of Commodore Matthew Perry to Japan in 1854, an event which marked the beginning of diplomacy and trade agreements between the U.S. and Japan.
