Students of the Fort Hamilton High School Junior ROTC detachment present the colors during a ceremony marking the creating of the 42nd Division at Camp Mills, New York in 1917, conducted on Nov. 9, 2019 in Garden City, New York . Garden City now stands where Camp Mills was. The Rainbow Division Veterans Foundation provides wreaths to be laid at locations of historical significance to the 42nd Infantry Division on veterans day. Other locations honored are at Fort Drum and Fort Dix, the United States Military Academy, Georgia and Alabama.
