Survivors of the World War II destroyer escort USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS (DE 413) attend the commissioning ceremony for the guided missile frigate USS CARR (FFG 52) at Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp. The USS CARR is named in honor of GUNNER's Mate 3rd Class Paul Henry Carr (1924-1944), who died heroically aboard the USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS during the battle off the coast of Samar.
