Summary
La Push, WA (Aug. 11)--Coast Guard members from Station Quillayute River and Air Station Port Angeles learn defensive swiimming and victim recovery techniques during a three-day swiftwater-rescue course on the Sol Duc River in La Push, Wash. Rescue Three International teaches the course, which shows students ho to respond in river rescue situations. The area has more than five rivers that are prone to flooding from the high amount of rainfall each year, and the Coast Guard may be called in to help local organizations for a rescue.
