Task Force Michael recognizes its outgoing resident engineer

During an all-hands meeting Nov. 17, Task Force Michael staff gather to bid farewell to Ben Bremer, who served the Recovery Field Office as resident engineer for the Operation Blue Roof program in Florida. Bremer was one of the first Corps of Engineers employees to respond following Hurricane Michael, and was instrumental in laying the foundation for how the Corps of Engineers would answer FEMA’s call to install reinforced plastic sheeting for homeowners affected by the storm. For his efforts, Lt. Col. Richard Gussenhoven, Task Force Michael commander, presented Bremer the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service.
