Teutonia Peak trail after dome fire
Summary
In August of 2020, a 43,000-acre wildfire burned through the Joshua Tree woodland on Cima Dome. Now, much of the Teutonia Peak trail is burned, though some unburned patches remain. In this picture, the left side was burned and the right side was untouched. The trail is still open for visitors to explore the burn area, but visitors are encouraged to make sure their shoes are clean to prevent introducing non-native plants into the burn area.
