The Aegis-guided missile cruiser USS PRINCETON (CG-59) is moored to a pier upon its return to port after being damaged by an Iraqi mine during Operation Desert Storm. The Princeton was on patrol in the Persian Gulf on February 18th when the incident occurred, resulting in the injury of three crew members. The vessel suffered propeller and hull damage, but was still able to navigate and operate its weapons systems
