LTHOUGH well known to experts, there are manyamateurs and new workers, who do not knowthat excellent stereographs may be taken withsmgle landscape lenses. Indeed, they are notonly equal, but often superior, to those takenwith the newest and most modern lenses of the highest type.It is, therefore, no small comfort to the person of limitedmeans to know that he can get the highest type of work at avery small outlay, and that the results obtained are well worththe time and trouble given to obtain them. Some may say that stereoscopic pictures are old fashioned,and out of date, but a half hour spent examining really goodviews in the stereoscope that are properly taken, and correctly 187 mounted, will soon oblige the observer to acknowledge thatfor realistic effects no other form of photograph can comparewith them. I do not intend here to go into the principles of stereoscopicwork, but simply to tell how e
