DAVISON OME fifteen years ago I used exclusively Ami-dol on my bromide enlargements getting blacksand whites nearer resembling iron-oxalate thanwith any other developer; but owing to the lackof keeping qualities after mixing I turned to metol-hydro. About two years ago I came into possession of a formulafor an acid stock solution to which is added amidol and water,and which will keep in that solution for two or three days.This has so simplified the developing that I have used nothingelse for over a year. 240
