SIR WILLIAM HENRY FLOWER DIRECTOR OF THE BRITISH MUSEUM FROM 1884 TO 1898 Sir William Flower probably did more than any other man to change the character of museum exliibits and make them attractive as well as instructive. He not only planned the exhibits and gave his personal attention to their installation, but in some instances he prepared the specimens himself. In tliis country like credit should be given to Dr. G. Brown Goode, who was an ardent admirer of Flower and his work in the British Museum
