n! The Royal Merlin. SINGULAR PREDICTION OF THE ASTROLOGER RAPHAEL. In the month of August, 1822, a lady was introduced to this gen-tleman, by means of a friend, and requested to know the eventswhich were pending at that period. The artist drew forth the ho-roscope, and informed her that, from the position of the heavenlybodies at that instant, he foresaw she would be in danger of M takingpoison, through the carelessness of a servant, and therefore warnedher to be very careful what medicine she took for the next six months.The prediction was thought but little of at the time, but within sixmonths from that period, the astrologer received a letter in theladys own handwriting, stating that the cup was actually raised toher lips, when recollecting the injunction, she was induced to examineit, and discovered it to be poison, delivered by the servant in mistake,as was foretold.
