Battle of Albert. Scene of the successful British attack on La Boisselle (19th Division). Taken from the British front line trench immediately after the assault on 3rd July 1916. In the foreground is the original British front line and the crater formed by the explosion of a mine before the advance took place (right section of panorama). See also Q 22.
