The best form of recreation that has been offered the American soldiers in the big Base Ports has been a new occupation that leaves them no spare time. They have been taught handicrafts of all kinds in the Red Cross Recreation Huts. At St. Nazaire, they specialized on bead work under the direction of Miss Gertrude Farrel of New York City
