Summary
The Burbank Homestead was built c. 1800 by Simon Willard. "Plant wizard" Luther Burbank, born in 1849, lived here until he was about 21. In the 1930s, Henry Ford came to Lancaster and negotiated with the Dexter family, who then owned the house, to move the ell [sic] to his museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
