Summary
The California National Guard responded to flood a flood support request from CalOES on behalf of Plumas County. The 3-140th Aviation Battalion from Stockton picked up 15,000 sandbags from Mather Air Field and delivered them to the C. Roy Carmichael Elementary School in the town of Portola, CA. The 3-140th Aviation Battalion was met by the Plumas County Sheriff’s Department and local volunteers to unload the CH47 Chinook. (National Guard photo by Spec. Sigmund Rakiec)
