The crane operator of an Alaska Army National Guard CH-54B Tahre watches his cargo, an OA-10 PBY Catalina flying boat, during a recovery operation. The historic aircraft was abandoned by the Air Force after engine trouble forced it down at Dago Lake on September 30, 1947. Members of the Aviation Heritage Museum, initiators of the recovery operation, plan to restore the aircraft and have it flying again sometime in the early 1990s
