The scenario involved a school bus colliding with a van that carried hazardous materials on the busy Pan American Highway. FA-HUM, a disaster preparedness and humanitarian two-week exercise takes place in El Salvador from May 5-16. The U.S. Southern Command-sponsored exercise includes command post and field exercises for not only El Salvador but about a dozen other countries from Central, North and South America.
