Violette Hdtivc (fig. 997).— Fruit medium, round andeven in outline ; skin greenish - white, dark - red whereexposed to the sun; flesh white, juicy, sweet, and of goodflavour, not so soft as some varieties, and therefore travelswell. One of the best and hardiest varieties grown. Itbears forcing well.
