The M2A1 Howitzer fires to signify the start of the hand crank race of the 41st Marine Corps Marathon, Arlington, Va., Oct. 30, 2016. Also known as "The People's Marathon," the 26.2 mile race drew roughly 30,000 participants to promote physical fitness, generate goodwill in the community, and showcase the organizational skills of the Marine Corps.
