SAN DIEGO (Feb. 17, 2009) The Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Blood Bank confirms the blood type of each blood product donated to ensure patients receive the correct specimen. This protects the patients from potentially serious reactions. All blood products in the NMCSD Blood Bank are screened for diseases.
