Summary

Title: Production. B-24 bombers and C-87 transports. Structural parts of a consolidated transport plane are installed in the "tunnel" of a tail fuselage section in a Western aircraft plant. This new transport, an adaptation of the B-24 bomber, is known as C-87, and carries one of the greatest human or cargo loads of any plane now in mass production. It is built in a plant equipped with the best and most modern air conditioning and fluorescent lighting systems
