The Slumping Effect - National Parks Gallery
Summary
Due to the nature of the geology, soft sedimentary rock, of the Badlands, occurrences such as "slumping" is rather common. This is where entire sections of the rock layers will shift and "slump" downward creating diagonal effect to the layers of sediment.
