Apra Harbor, Guam (Jan. 22, 2007) The Submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) Deck Department personnel and a Guam Naval Shipyard worker watch as the starboard anchor and chain are removed for a 12-year Preventative Maintenance Service (PMS) project. The anchor removal will allow much-needed preservation on the anchor, anchor chain and anchor locker. Frank Cable is currently undergoing a four-month Phased Maintenance Availability (PMA) period at Guam Naval Shipyard.
