The U.S. Navy Blue Angels have arrived at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., April 29, during the 2016 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show "Celebrating 75 Years." The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the Navy and the Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach. This year's air show celebrated Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing's 75th anniversary and featured 40 static displays, 17 aerial performers, as well as a concert.
